About

Mediqventures is a biotech merchant bank and investment firm founded by successful entrepreneurs Jim Mellon, Gregory Bailey, and Declan Doogan in order to identify, finance, and develop promising technologies in the life sciences.
Mediqventures provides equity financing either directly to portfolio companies or to single-asset collaborations with existing companies.

In addition to providing capital, Mediqventures provides its portfolio companies with access to a network of seasoned drug-development professionals that join our portfolio companies in an advisory or executive role in order to provide expertise in the validation of discovery programs, preclinical development, CMC, the preparation and submission of INDs, translational science, clinical development, business development, finance, and intellectual property development.

Partners at Mediqventures directly invest in our portfolio companies and also have strong connections to other sources of capital and enable rapid follow on financings or entry into the public markets.

In order to best support rapid growth of its invested companies and products, Mediqventures has assembled a team of very senior professionals. Our experience suggests that having the best people paired with exciting science is critical to enabling success in development.
Mediqventures has the flexibility to deploy part-time or full-time expertise for each investment based on the unique requirements of the project.

Together, the partners have overseen the development of over 5 billion-dollar drugs, built multiple companies that were each ultimately valued in excess of a billion dollars, taken over a dozen companies public, and executed numerous multi-million dollar licenses with Big Pharma.

Our extended team of advisors has impressive accomplishments of their own. In addition to our board, our advisors and the management team, we have access to extended networks of quality personnel when unique skillsets are needed to drive programs forward.
